Daily Contact Lenses

It’s not difficult to see why daily contact lenses, disposable contact lenses or just ‘dailies’ are called that. Daily contacts come individually in their own, sealed, disposable solution pack, and you wear them for a day. Your optician will tell you the maximum amount of time your daily contacts can stay in and it’s important you don’t exceed this. Why use dailies? The main advantage with daily contacts is you don’t have to buy extra cleaning and storing solutions – you just throw the daily contact lenses away when you’ve finished with them. So, after a hard day, you won’t be messing about cleaning the lenses and putting them back in their storage canisters. Another benefit is, for example, if you’re going out for the evening, you could wear your glasses during the day and save your daily contacts for your night out. So, in a sense, dailies can be nightlies, too. Just remember to take them out before you go to bed.
